The news keeps pouring in!
Tuna risk being fished to extinction worldwide!
An immediate ban to allow fish to recover should be followed by a series of tighter controls including more observers to watch for illegal fishing, country-by-country quotas and an increase in the minimum size of fish allowed to be caught.
 
Urge your representative to fight attacks on our coastal fishery economies

The House of Representatives is expected to work on important ocean fisheries management legislation in the next few weeks. Urge your representative to help protect and strengthen this important law.

MARINE PROTECTED AREA INFO -

• Eat seafood that's healthy and sustainable. Choose wild Alaskan salmon rather than salmon from fish farms, whose wastes can pollute surrounding waters, or choose to order abundant species like calamari and Pacific halibut rather than overfished species such as orange roughy, grouper and shark. Patronize stores and restaurants that support sustainable, healthy fisheries.

We love fresh fish...Fish has sustained us since the dawn of humanity! Protect the fish to protect our valuable food source!
 

Oh how we love our sushi in Hawai'i. Now they tell us that we should watch how much Ahi Tuna we eat, and that it has HEAVY METAL in it. We are a little scared...We eat so much fish, and we have to worry that it is contaminated from metals that go into the air and sea from faraway places.....arrrrgggghhhh
