Documenting Ocean Ecosystems

The SOS video team is available to help with your project. Armed with Sony HD and DV cameras cased in Amphibico housings, SOS videographers can assist you with documenting coral reefs or other oceanic ecosystems.

Please inquire for details.  SOS@SaveOurSeas.Org

SOS Video portrays a sample of the many species that depend on the health of the reef and highlights Hawai’i’s unique endemic species (more than 1,250 unique species that can only be found on Hawaii’s reefs). SOS video also encourages action and lets viewers know that “you can make a difference.”

Save Our Seas has a ten year record of programs that demonstrate broad community involvement in the stewardship of natural resources.

Mahalo To all of the staff and volunteers that make SOS Vision possible!

Quality and Experience:

The best way to raise public awareness is through the universal media of television and film production. The crewmembers working on this program are experienced professionals in all aspects of the film industry from the creative inception through postproduction. They are committed to the cause of preserving the world’s oceans.

SOS producers  have devoted their careers to the protect  marine environments and know from experience that a fusion of art and science can affect children and adults in many positive ways.

The public must be informed about Oceanic Health:

Reefs in Hawai’i and across the planet are at a critical stage. Coral reefs have finally begun to receive international media attention. The US Congress recently passed legislation designed to foster the protection of the coral reef system within US coastal waters. This support must be strongly emphasized for residents and visitors in Hawai’i before it’s too late. The resources and beauty of the coral reefs of America need to be spotlighted. We must strive to show that the waters surrounding Hawai’i are a National Treasure. The coral reefs under United States’ jurisdiction in the Hawaiian archipelago stretch for over 1,500 miles.
