EMPLOYMENT and INTERNSHIP DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? SOS has opportunities for college graduates that are interested in preserving, protecting and restoring our seas for future generations through education and research. If you are a "go getter", capable of doing amazing things with little resources, a grant writer/getter, have an eco business idea, or other unexplored possibility then SOS may have an opportunity for you. Explore the projects on our website and decide what it is that you "really want to do" and "can do" with SOS. SOS will provide support for work with you on one of our projects to make positive changes for our seas.
There is always the possibility of new projects that are brought to SOS. Proposals may be submitted to SOS@SaveOurSeas.Org. Please include all relevant information and resume. NEW SOS INTERN PROGRAM! SOS's internship program offers a wide range of research projects run by scientists working with SOS, National Tropical Botanical Gardens, Reef Check, REEF and other institutions. Students do real fieldwork with an experienced researchers, and the scientists gain highly motivated, exceptionally knowledgeable assistants. Interns help with ongoing research projects and/or carry out their own research projects, collecting data that may be analyzed and written up as a thesis or project during the next school year. The project supervisor becomes the student's mentor in this process, assisting the student in the field and providing advice and guidance. Students benefit in a variety of ways. Not only do they have an opportunity to develop a professional working relationship with a respected researchers dedicated to conservation research, they experience firsthand the realities of field work and the challenges of conducting original research under various constraints. Many interns found these experiences pivotal in choosing a career path. |

A list of available projects can be found at: http://www.saveourseas.org/projects.htm All inquiries should be directed to Captain Paul Clark, Internship Coordinator, sos@saveourseas.org Internships
are for college and graduate students. Interns are responsible for their
