The "CW" includes current issues, news, art, and photography related to Global Oceanic conservation and Earth/Self Awareness

Payment is required for all advertising by the closing date or ad will not run.

Specifications

Print-ready advertising copy must be supplied in high-resolution (300 dpi for photos; 600 dpi for line drawings and type) non- compressed JPEG, EPS or Print Quality PDF. Cover and full-page ads may also be supplied in MS Publisher For assistance, please contact SOS@saveourseas.org

If you cannot provide an ad in our required format, we can produce your ad for you, from wording and graphics that you provide. Logos, photos and other graphics must be camera-ready (see above) of sufficiently high quality for good print reproduction.

Production Charges

Production charges are $40 per hour, with a one-hour minimum.

Special Website Advertising Rates

The SOS website was established in 1994 as a portal to information about Ocean protection, preservation and restoration. It is now over 500 pages, includes articles from the past 10 years and receives over 100,000 visits per month. Website advertising is placed at the bottom of each page of the site. We do not rotate ads, so each time a person visits any one of our pages, they see your ad.

Banner ads

Location: Long-term contract ads (one year or longer) are situated at the top of the banner ad section; shorter-term contract ads are situated at or near the bottom of the banner ad section.

 

Size: 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high, maximum 20 kilobytes

 

Format: JPEG or GIF

 

Cost: $250 per month.

 

Prepayment required; 20% discount for 12 months prepaid; 10% discount for 6 months prepaid.

Tile Ads

Location: Tile ads appear below the banner ads, at the bottom of each page.

 

Size: 120 pixels wide by 60 pixels high

 

Format: JPEG or GIF

Cost: $100 per month. Larger size tile ads are available at $1/ per pixel line (eg. 120 pixels by 120 pixels would cost $120).

 

Prepayment required; 25% discount for 12 months prepaid; 15% discount for 6 months prepaid.
